Veritas Academy recognizes that all children are uniquely gifted and are created in the image of God.
…I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well (Psalm 139:14).
From its inception, Veritas Academy advocates as its definition of “classical” the form of education that Miss Dorothy Sayers described in her 1947 essay, The Lost Tools of Learning, and subsequently popularized in Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning by Douglas Wilson. Both of these authors advance the pedagogical methodology of the Trivium, which includes three aspects: grammar (including pre-grammar), logic, and rhetoric. These form the basis of our academic structure.
