SCHOOL OF GRAMMAR: K-5th Grade

  • During this stage children are sponges and can learn an abundance of information
  • Key goals of learning language skills such as reading and writing
  • Acquire as many words and concepts as possible

Grammar Stage Subjects

  • Bible, English Language Arts, History, Geography, Math, Science and Fine Arts
    • Build a strong foundation in math, science and fine arts
    • Students produce art and music
    • Students reenact historical events dressed in period specific costumes
    • Students are introduced to the language of Latin

SCHOOL OF LOGIC: Grades 6-8

  • During this stage children are beginning to ask a lot of questions
  • Logic is the science of correct reasoning
  • The “what” and the “why” come together

Logic Stage Subjects

  • English Language Arts, History, Math, Science, Fine Arts and Latin
    • Critical thinking and sound reasoning skills are developed

 

SCHOOL OF RHETORIC: Grades 9-12

  • During this stage teenagers learn to argue well
  • Rhetoric is the art of persuasive speaking and writing
  • In speech class, students participate in mock trials, policy debate and other forms of speech
  • Students  complete a thesis during their junior and senior years

Rhetoric Stage Subjects

  • Rhetoric, Logic, Advanced Math,  Fine Arts, History, Advanced Sciences, Theology and Apologetics

    • Wisdom is cultivated as students develop personal convictions, conduct research, and eloquently present their original thoughts through written work and persuasive speech.
